The Stables
In May 2019 we launched our newly renovated Victorian stable block and dog kennels which have been transformed into luxury self-catering holiday cottages.
The Stables are situated within the grounds of Garthmyl Hall in Mid Wales which operates as a busy exclusive hire wedding venue. We created The Stables as additional accommodation for wedding guests, however not all wedding parties will require them so they are available for groups and families to book, for a self-catering stay in the country. When booking, guests may like to check if there is a wedding happening during their stay as access to the gardens is limited and in the evening there may be some noise.
When designing The Stables accommodation we have strived to keep key features of the old buildings whilst incorporating luxurious interiors.
All of the properties have access to a beautiful cobbled courtyard and each has a small private patio area. The Old Dairy is our largest cottage with five bedrooms, an open plan living area and French country style interiors. The Clock Tower comprises of four bedrooms, one of which is situated over the old bell tower and one downstairs which has full disabled access. The Clock Tower interiors are more modern, featuring plush velvets and rich jewel tones.
Ty Bach One and Two are our smaller self-contained units, suitable for two guests each and built inside the old dog kennels. They feature a double bed, a small kitchenette area and luxury en-suite bathroom in each. Although smaller than the others style has not been compromised.
New and exciting and open for bookings from Spring 2023, we have The Boat House! A luxury two bed apartment (sleeping 4) situated on a large private pool, overlooking the gardens at the hall. Watch this space for more details and pictures and keep an eye on our Instagram for updates.
Whatever the size of your party or the nature of your trip we will be on hand to assist throughout the complete booking process. The Garthmyl office is ran by two ladies called Julia and Polly who are both events coordinators at the hall and have lived in the local area all their whole lives so are always on hand to give recommendations.
If you wished to make your stay at The Stables a little special with the addition of hamper please ask when booking and we can send you our available hamper list, from luxury local breakfast hamper's delivered to your cottage to a boozy Pimm's hamper there is something for everyone.
